i work without the burden of intention.
my paintings grow organically into their
own unique and separate reality.
when i feel i understand the direction
a painting "wants" to go,
i take it back into my studio.
some pieces sit untouched for months,
even years, before they "demand" completion.
i like to think my work is alive, and i have a
relationship with each piece that continues
even after it is sold.
